This year, we welcome the 8th annual winter school visitors from the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University at BISLA. The winter school provides an insight into the arts and culture of Central Europe, with a particular focus on the current media. APU students collaborate with BISLA students as they together explore the region’s architecture, public space, culture, and people through group photo essays in Bratislava, Prague, and Vienna. Winter school hosts a wide array of experts and artists and also brings students into art studios, TV and radio studios, galleries, and places of historical and artistic import to learn about the crafts and professions first-hand. The winter school is an intensive, joyous experience of immersion in local culture and art, with the help of BISLA students, not only learning a lot about Central Europe but also making friendships for a lifetime.
