Have you ever been to Bratislava?
Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia, located in Central Europe. Before 1993 it was part of Czechoslovakia and before 1918 within the Habsburg Empire. Bratislava’s castle overlooks the River Danube and the city’s historic old town, which is full of medieval and classical buildings, restaurants, coffee shops, museums and galleries. Bratislava offers a variety of cultural events as well as regular music, theater and film festivals. It was originally a wine-trading town, and there are many cellar doors offering winetasting in the nearby hills. You can take a boat to Vienna or Budapest. There is also plenty to explore behind the borders. Vienna and Brno are an hour away, Budapest and Prague just 3-4 hours by train.
