Community

At BISLA, you are not a number – you are a family member.

Community life at BISLA stands upon a small and welcoming student body. Our students help to create the atmosphere at BISLA by organizing student societies and clubs, engaging in volunteering, community engagement, and activism; and by writing their own student journal, Il Ponte. Almost all activities are managed through the Student Council. BISLA provides a robust and interconnected support system for students and faculty through its Teaching and Learning Center. Students are provided with academic advisors, peer mentors, and writing tutors, as well as mental health and career counselling. Faculty, on the other hand, have opportunities to develop their teaching skills through workshops on diverse topics in teaching and learning.
