Being International
BISLA student body is, by design, very small compared to other universities and colleges, but strives to reflect the world’s diversity. BISLA students are encouraged to spend at least a semester at our partner colleges from within the Erasmus network or through partner agreements with schools from the Global Liberal Arts Alliance and European Consortium for Liberal Arts and Sciences networks, which provides opportunities of exchanges on four continents. BISLA students also undertake internships in the fields of their major or minors. Increasingly, they intern in companies and organizations abroad.

Experience of diversity in the education process is enhanced through “connected courses” that join two or three similar courses at different colleges for a whole semester, allowing students to connect and collaborate with their peers in different countries, learn to apply studied matter to different context, reflect on their own identities and experiences through the eyes of another, challenging own opinions and stereotypes.
