BISLA’s teaching and learning philosophy focuses on small classes engaged in intensive, interactive, diverse, and tolerant discussions. Students gain a footing in the social sciences and humanities, majoring in political science, with a possibility of attaining a minor either in one of the available fields or designing their own minor. The BISLA student community is very supportive, and supported by the Teaching and Learning Center, peer mentoring, alumni mentoring, career counseling, psychological counselling, and more.
